All About Me

Hello, I'm Natalie


I created this blog to share my ideas about self-care. I'm a LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the U.S. Virgin Islands as well as the state of Florida. After working in the social services field for many years, I've learned many things about self-care and the absolute need to not only talk about it but to also fully immerse myself in the practice of it. The need for self-care has become more important as many of us have lives that  have become way too busy. Just thinking about how you can fit self-care into your already busy schedule, can become overwhelming and may seem impossible to even take time out to do. This blog is for everyone who is in need of some self-care ideas and activities. This means it's for everyone, as we all need to practice self-care, even if we are not experiencing a stressful situation. Learning about ways to deal with stress by practicing self-care activities can help you to relax, unwind and be in a healthier frame of mind for when life's challenges present themselves. Our emotional well-being to include our mental health is just as important as our physical health, and our mental health check-ups are as essential as the physical ones. Keeping all of this in mind, the practice of self-care is a great segway, to also take care of your mental wellness. If you learn and implement ways to take time out for yourself through self-care activities, the better your mindset can be for when it comes to helping yourself, as well as being able to help others as needed. Self-care then needs to be a part of all of our routines.
